Dieses Buch eignet sich ja geradezu zum Verschenken bzw. als Mitgebsel zum Geburtstag!Artikelbeschreibung================Das Buch ist ein kleines Mini-Buch, ähnlich der Größe eines Pixi-Buches und besteht aus mehreren dicken Papp-Seiten, einer sehr dicken Rückseite (da ist der Soundchip und das Batteriefach drin versteckt) und einem kleinen winzigen Touchknopf auf der Vorderseite, den man bzw. das Kind berühren muss mit der Fingerspitze.Sogleich ertönt das Lied des Buchtitels. Eine Strophe lang, relativ laut. Der Gesang ist angenehm.Dass es nur eine Strophe ist, finde ich angenehm. Das Buch ist für ein Kleinkind, das nicht die nötige Aufmerksamkeitsspanne für mehr hat und ja durch das Buch auch lernen soll. Ellenlanger Text wäre da kontraproduktiv.Es ist sehr leicht zu bedienen und wer Coppenrath und seine Autoren kennt, natürlich auch sehr liebevoll gezeichnet.Der Songtext darf für textunsichere Erwachsene auch nicht fehlen und steht im Buch. ;-)F A Z I T / Meinung zum Produkt==========================Sehr niedliches Minigeschenk mit angemesenem Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis.Immer nur ein Lied pro Buch, so dass das Kind sich darauf konzentrieren kann. About the Author
Thomas R. Arp received a B.A. in English from the University of Michigan (1954) and a Woodrow Wilson Fellowship to Stanford University. In 1955-1956, he produced educational television for the University of Michigan. He received an M.A. in 1960 and a Ph.D. in 1962 -- both from Stanford. He taught at Bowdoin College, Princeton University, University of California at Berkeley, Hull University (England), and Southern Methodist University. Macmillan published his volume, THE FORM OF POETRY, in 1966, and he received a Fulbright lectureship at University of Bucharest (Romania) in 1969-1970. Arp joined Laurence Perrine in preparing revised editions of SOUND AND SENSE, STORY AND STRUCTURE, and LITERATURE: STRUCTURE, SOUND, AND SENSE beginning in 1982. He became sole author of the books in 1997 and was joined by Greg Johnson in 2002. Dr. Arp passed away in 2015.

Greg Johnson received an M.A. in English from Southern Methodist University and a Ph.D. in English from Emory University. Dr. Johnson is the author of twelve books of fiction, poetry, criticism, and biography, including LAST ENCOUNTER WITH THE ENEMY (Johns Hopkins, 2004), WOMEN I'VE KNOWN: NEW AND SELECTED STORIES (Ontario Review, 2007), the novel STICKY KISSES (Alyson Books, 2001), and several books on Joyce Carol Oates, including INVISIBLE WRITER: A BIOGRAPHY OF JOYCE CAROL OATES (Dutton, 1998) and JOYCE CAROL OATES: CONVERSATIONS 1970-2006 (Ontario Review, 2006). He joined the author team of PERRINE'S LITERATURE in 2002 and has been the sole author since Thomas Arp's passing in 2015.

Decent Textbook

It's your run of the mill textbook. The table of contents is a bit messy to try and navigate. However, it's great for a collegiate level class. My Freshman Comp. 2 class uses it. Some of the stories in the book contain signifigant amounts of profanity, and it seems to focuses on darker stories rather than happier ones. Overall, it's not a poor textbook and is useful for a class combining literature, prose, and drama.

Bootlegers Dream

For anyone who has a modist size Zeppelin collection of live recordings this book is a must, It has an incredible breakdown of hundreds of shows including track lists and commentary on the play quality as well as remarks on Robert Plants witty comentary between songs. I found myself going back and listening to many of my bootlegs to see how the author's opinion of concerts compared to mine. It was also nice because It helped straighten out some of the songs from the compelation discs I have, correcting the perpatraitors generally incorrect slipsheets and liner notes.

All you need to know about the BEST live Rock-n-Roll band

Dave Lewis and Simon Pallett have provided readers with a treasure: a look at every known live performance of the world's greatest rock band, Led Zeppelin. The book is full of reports of what, where, and when the band played, how good the concert was, concert facts, and many samples of the wisdom of Robert Plant. They even recommend the best bootlegs, perfect for us die-hard Zepp fans. The authors also include innumerable concert photos, many of which don't appear in other books. Any Zeppelin collection is incomplete without this book.

This book is a dream come true for any Zep fan. The set lists and descriptions of every Led Zeppelin performance are great. If you are not sure exactly when or where you saw that Zep concert, this book has the information you need. Loads of pictures of the band, venue posters, backstage passes and more. Looks great on the coffee table too.

Designated as a light truck, the Jeep was the primary four-wheel drive vehicle for the U.S. Army during WWII. The Jeep’s design owed a great deal to Karl Probst, a freelance designer employed by the American Bantam Car Co. Probst’s prototype “Blitz Buggy” was built in a mere 49 days. It clearly impressed the Army in head-to-head competition against a design submitted by Willys-Overland. However the Buggy’s engine failed to meet requirements, and the Army determined that Bantam could not produce the vehicle in quantity. As a result, the Army bought the Bantam design and asked both Willys and Ford to improve it. The Willys model MB, equipped with a L134 straight-4 “Go Devil” engine, was eventually accepted as the standard. Ford models built to Willys specifications were designated GPW (“G” for government vehicle, “P” designating the 80” wheelbase, and “W” indicating the Willys engine design). (Notably, the “GP” part of the designation is often misinterpreted to mean “General Purpose”, and some have suggested this is the reason the vehicle was nick-named the “Jeep”. In reality it was probably named after a character in the Popeye cartoons). Roughly 640,000 Jeeps were built during WWII by Ford and Willys, and used on every front. Utilitarian, rugged, and easy to maintain, Jeeps saw service as scout cars, ambulances, firefighting vehicles, as tractors for artillery, and more. The vehicle so impressed war correspondent Ernie Pyle that he called it one of the “two most important pieces of non-combat equipment ever developed” — the other being the pocket stove. Jeeps remained in service for the U.S. military in Korea and in the Vietnam War. Created in 1944, this technical manual reveals a great deal about the Jeep’s design and capabilities. Intended as a manual for those charged with operation and maintenance, this manual shows many aspects of its engine, cooling, power, drive train and other systems. Originally labeled restricted, this manual was declassified long ago and is here reprinted in book form. Care has been taken to preserve the integrity of the text.

Als Anhänger von Bach's Johannes-Passion hab ich mir auch die Noten dazu besorgt. Übrigens ist die zu meinen 10 Versionen die schon die 2. Fassung. Die Johannes-Passion ist für mich persönlich das Werk von J.S. Bach. Sehr zu empfehlen ist die Niebeling-Einspielung aus dem Dom zu Speyer! Ein "Muß" für fans!

Zu dem Werk selber muss ich nicht viel sagen- tolle Arien, sehr schöne Choräle, wahnsinnige Musik!! Mit ca. 2 Stunden Dauer auch nicht zu lange!Zu beanstanden ist- wie in vorherigen Rezensionen auch- der Einband. Durch das Material bekommt man leicht schwitzige Hände. Es ist nicht tragisch, aber es stört ein wenig. Aber wenn man ein Bach-Fan ist so wie ich es bin, dann kann man darüber sehr gerne hinwegsehen...!

Die Johannes Passion ist ein Standardwerk, dass immer wieder zur Aufführung gebracht wird.Vorher besaß ich eine alte Peters Ausgabe, doch da dort Taktzahlen fehlten und sich einige Textverteilungen vom Bärenreiter unterschieden, habe ich nun diese Ausgabe im Schrank. Der Großteil meines Chores singt aus dem Bärenreiter und ich kann nun entspannt den Ansagen des Chorleiters folgen, wenn er von Takt XY spricht. Ein Genuß diese Musik!

Ich bin sehr zufrieden mit diesem Buch. Die Ausgabe ist sehr gut gemacht und einfach zu lesen. Ich glaube die Größe des Buches ist ein bisschen kleiner als der Standard A4 Größe, aber das tun nichts!

Diese Noten ist gut für Musik lernen.

Über die Johannespassion von J.S.Bach zu schreiben, verbiete ich mir. Dies haben schon Berufenere getan.Als Chorsänger habe ich schon viele Klavierauszüge in den Händen gehabt. Dieser ist zur Zeit der beste, vielleicht von der Nummerierung mit vielen Kleinbuchstaben abgesehen, die aber vielleicht nicht auf dem Mist des Verlags gewachsen ist. Die derzeitige Bärenreiter-Ausgabe ist auf jeden Fall von allen die übersichtlichste mit einem klaren Notenbild und nicht zu vollgepackten Seiten. Eigentlich müßten Taktzahlen eine Selbstverständlichlkeit sein. Ich habe alle meine anderen Ausgaben durchgesehen: sie fehlen überall und meistens habe ich sie selber Žreingeschrieben. Bei Bärenreiter sind sie da. Der Anhang mit den Stücken, die Bach später herausgenommen hat (Oh Mensch, beweinŽ deinŽ Sünde groß - u.a.) ist lehrreich, verdickt und erschwert aber den Band - für einen Chorsänger, der ihn die ganze Zeit halten muß, kein völlig nebensächlicher Aspekt. Schön wäre es, wenn es eine fest gebundene Ausgabe gäbe wie früher die bibliophilen, wirklich schönen Bände in dunkelgrün in der früheren DDR. Denn einen Nachteil hat der Einband der Bärenreiter-Ausgabe: Das Material macht die Hände schwitzen.Freiburg, den 05.11.2009Klaus Pielsticker,

By having fewer measures per page, the book is unsurprisingly a bit thicker and heavier, which could be a small disadvantage for the singers. But by not having hundreds of notes packed together definitely helps make even the most complicated fugues appear less overwhelming.The appendix at the back includes the choral and solo movements from the second version (O Mensch, bewein dein Sünde groß", "Himmel, Reiße, Welt, erbebe"", etc). This is a pleasant surprise and a good value-add!
