A bloody good time!

My fingers were bleeding with every turn of the page! If you genuinely want the experience and knowledge on how to manage an outdated windows server and bleed your eyes out at the sight of Windows' gaping security holes, then you should buy this book!
But in all seriousness, the book does give a very comprehensive tutorial on how to setup, operate and administrate a windows 2008 server and the basics of windows server 2012.

Is this the right book for you're needs?

I think really think an active directory book would be a better way to go, but maybe that's just a personal opinion. It really seems like the majority of the information is guided towards Active Directory, after the installation which is pretty self-explanatory. I would highly recommend picking a book that's more guided towards exactly what you want to achieve.

The book is an easy read if you are familiar with some Networking concepts. i am using it to solidify my understanding/experience with windows server then I will move on to windows 2012.
