Depth and Breadth

The A-M Campaign is surely not a subject for everyone, but it is one far too lightly covered (as is most of Indian history in the West) The author does a marvelous job of bringing all of the issues - especially the economic factors that led to much of this obvious British land-grab (reminded me of the US War with Mexico in the 1840's) - to the fore in much detail. I would think there would be some historians that will disagree with some/many of his theses - aren't there always? . . . but, for serious, or even humorous, students of this era, this is THE book.
